2024, INDO WATER a.k.a. news.

Hello, this is RK. It's the end of Midsummer, 2024, and we're back with another installment of the show.

INDO WATER, the Indonesian water treatment exhibition, has been held since Chuseok Day and today is the second day.

What do you think of when you think of Indonesia? One of the world's top two palm oil producers and a country with so many natural resources that geopoliticians say it will soon join the ranks of the world's top eight.

RK is the only company in the world that produces centrifugal dehydrators locally in Vietnam. In general, German, European, and North American centrifugal dehydrators are not locally produced in Southeast Asia.

For this reason, we are also a partner of domestic EPC environmental companies in the Southeast Asian water market.

Meet the Indonesian buyers.

Indonesia has been in the global spotlight for a few years now for its water relocation issue, where the country's heavy use of groundwater has led to a sinkhole.

Indonesia's concerns and challenges in the water industry were evident at the exhibition. With the increasingly sophisticated food industry and the commercialization of mineral resources related to secondary batteries, Indonesia's nickel-rich economy is also concerned about wastewater.

The various buyers who visited our booth were interested in centrifugal dehydrators, the latest and most preferred technology among dehydrators.

Mainly, we are interested in wastewater treatment in the food, water and mineral industries and in water treatment plants of municipal water utilities.

In addition, key issues in the water industry in Indonesia include.

Top 5 Water Industry Issues in Indonesia

  1. Large-scale water infrastructure deployment following water relocation
Indonesia's capital relocation plan is expected to require massive water infrastructure build-out in the new capital. This will create demand for a variety of water-related infrastructure, including water and sewer facilities, water treatment facilities, and more.
  2. Strengthening water disaster management to address climate change
Building flood and drought management systems and expanding disaster prevention infrastructure are key issues for the Indonesian government as it prepares for an increase in water disasters due to climate change.
  3. New contaminant regulations drive demand for water treatment technologies
Increased regulation of emerging contaminants is expected to drive demand for advanced water treatment technologies and facilities.
  4. Adopting a smart water management system through digital transformation
As the water industry continues to digitize, the adoption of smart water management systems using advanced technologies such as smart metering and IoT-based leak detection systems is expected to increase.
  5. Addressing the growing demand for water due to urbanization
With Indonesia's continued urbanization, securing and efficiently managing water resources to meet the growing demand for water will be a critical issue.

These issues are common to most countries in Southeast Asia, which are categorized as developing countries, and they are also common to the uncertainty of heavy rainfall and drought due to climate change.

We look forward to seeing how Korean environmental companies will play a role in Indonesia's future water industry.

The passion for the water industry that we have experienced in the past is a genre called K-WATER, and many domestic companies are showing a wonderful appearance. ARK also has centrifugal dehydrators and Screw-press As a developer, we will continue to be active in Southeast Asia with the same spirit.

That was our first day at Booth F13.
