Korean consortium brings together five Korean SMEs to export to Egypt at Global Green Hub Korea (GGHK).

Representatives of Korean SMEs unite for export and technical cooperation in the Egyptian water and wastewater industry market.

A multilateral MOU was signed by Egypt's Samcrete Egypt Engineers and Contractors (SAE) and a Korean consortium at the Global Green Hub Korea (GGHK) (Busan BEXCO) on May 25th.

The Korean Consortium is a EnvironmentThis is a multilateral MOU held in conjunction with the Green Technology Support Mission to Egypt project of the Korea Green Energy Agency (KEGA), comprised of S.M., R.K., Lincoln Technology, Dongshin Entec, and Geocell Korea.

The main outline of the MOU is that after evaluating the feasibility of potential cooperation related to water and wastewater projects with the public and private sectors in Egypt, the Korean consortium will cooperate in the supplier registration process to supply water and wastewater treatment equipment, and the Korean consortium will participate as a technology provider and supplier of water and wastewater treatment equipment.

During a field trip to Icheon Sewage Treatment Plant and Jincheon Sewage Treatment Plant, the two sides explained the technical competitiveness, price competitiveness, and ease of maintenance of the sewage treatment process and sedimentation equipment, turboblowers, and centrifugal dehydrators, and held export consultations.

The Egyptian SAE has a track record of success in building and heavy civil construction, infrastructure construction, roads and rehabilitation, and has been executing national and international projects for many years.

The multilateral MOU is part of the Ministry of Environment's initiative to send a support mission to help Korean companies gain a foothold in Egypt, as well as a plan to promote waste-to-energy and domestic green technology.
